Premise
Set at Isla Caliente, a dubiously luxurious Caribbean resort where nobody can escape, five couples spend a week surrounded by thin walls, open bars and people who know too much.
Each episode follows the format of a compressed telenovela: complete with beginning, middle and end, but with consequences that accumulate across the season. Characters who cheat in episode three receive their karma in episode seven, and the audience who has been watching from the start knows it before it happens.
The humor comes not from jokes but from situation, timing and what characters say when they should stay quiet. Dialogue is natural, credible and sharp, with exactly the right degree of absurdity that real conversations have when people are nervous, guilty or caught in a lie.
