Three households from different generations and backgrounds, young workers trapped in precarious jobs, a couple facing eviction and a migrant family that quietly holds the neighborhood together, cross paths on the staircase of a Lavapiés building that vanishes overnight when the landlord turns it into a tourist rental. Guided by Tata Lola, the neighborhood's living memory and keeper of the keys to an abandoned municipal building, they form a housing cooperative and take on a vulture fund in a public tender. A warm, funny and hopeful ensemble story that ends, for once, with the community beating the market.
